Richmond Plains produced New Zealand’s first certified organic Pinot Noir Rosé.

Our Rosé is a fruity and elegant wine made from Pinot Noir grapes. Nicely chilled this wine is perfect as an aperitif or summertime drinking.

Nose: Fragrant with red cherry, raspberry and strawberry aromas.

Palate: Delicious soft strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant flavours. This wine has a refreshing, dry minerally finish which makes it an excellent accompaniment to a wide variety of lighter flavoured food dishes.

Vintage: This wine was produced from hand picked Pinot Noir grapes after a warm sunny Autumn which produced great quality fruit and excellent flavours.

Wine Making: All fruit was crushed and destemmed and held overnight in the press to allow for colour extraction before being cool fermented to preserve the vibrant primary fruit characters.

Sulphur: This wine is made with minimal levels of sulphur/SO2/preservative 220.

Diet: This wine is suitable for a vegan diet.

Bright strawberry pink colour with eye-of-the-partridge hues and some depth, lighter on the edge. The nose is soft and gently voluminous with rich aromas of strawberries and cream, with quince and red florals, and a subtle amalgam of herbs and confectionary. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has bright and vibrant, thirst-quenching flavours of stonefruits, strawberries and cream and quince. The fruit is lifted by red florals and hints of confectionary. The palate flows with good drive and energy along a very fine line with delicate, lacy acidity. The wine carries to lingering finish of strawberries, quince and florals. This is a delicate, but vibrant, mouthwatering dry rosé, with strawberry, quince and floral flavours.  5 Stars - Raymond Chan
